This is a free planning and specification tool from SMS Metal of Hamden, Connecticut. It lets you review standing seam panel profiles and finishes, measure a roof from aerial imagery, preview colors on a photo, and send a material quote request to our sales team. It is not a store: nothing can be bought, ordered, or paid for inside the app.
Squares, waste allowance, panel linear feet, trim footage, and pull-sheet quantities are calculated from the figures you enter and the outlines you trace. Aerial imagery and pitch selections introduce error. Always verify field dimensions before material is ordered or fabricated. SMS Metal is not responsible for shortages, overages, or fabrication based on an unverified take-off.
Sending a quote request does not create a contract, lock in pricing, or reserve material. The app intentionally shows no prices. Pricing, coil availability, lead time, and final quantities are confirmed only in writing by SMS Metal sales after we review your request.
Color chips and the roof visualizer are approximations produced on a screen. Rendering varies by device, brightness, and lighting conditions, and the visualizer is an illustration rather than a photograph of a finished roof. Request physical color chips from SMS Metal before making a final finish selection.
Panel data, testing references, and warranty language are reproduced from manufacturer datasheets and may be revised by the manufacturer. Confirm current specifications, approvals, and warranty terms with SMS Metal before specifying or installing.
Use the app for legitimate roofing project work. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer it, disrupt it, or redistribute its content, drawings, or catalog data as your own.
The SMS Metal name, logo, panel drawings, datasheet text, and color palette are the property of SMS Metal and its suppliers, and are provided for use in planning projects supplied by SMS Metal.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that calculations, imagery, or specifications will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SMS Metal is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including material ordered on the basis of an app-generated take-off. Nothing here limits any warranty that accompanies material you actually purchase from SMS Metal.
